It has been 5 solid years since we first started, and now we are proud to announce that we are hiring; not just a random kind of hire-when-you-are-at-book-fair (yes, we do hire for upcoming book fairs, see more below), but we-are-expanding kind of hiring.

We are going to hire full time or/and part time staffs. So, what the Kindle Malaysia Team members are going to do?

The most immediate notable events are book fairs; we are joining a few  book fairs at the end of this year:

This is a very different job, because you are going to work directly with our founder, co-founder and Kindle Malaysia fans to help them achieve distinctive, lasting, and substantial improvements in self-learning with Amazon Kindle eReader. It’s a not a mundane job whereby you just regurgitate your training material and spew it on your Kindle Malaysia fans; we expect you to learn, research and better yourself everyday, via your interaction with our fans!

Main responsibilities for the role include:

  • Support Kindle Malaysia Fans (KMF) by working with them to understand and prioritize their kindle learning needs. Leverage broad industry knowledge and sources to efficiently collect, summarize and synthesize the relevant facts. Deliver this information to Kindle Malaysia Fans via well structured end products. Internal data management and support in the codification of knowledge are expected to be part of the role for the successful candidate
  • Support ongoing internal efforts to organize and codify our internal knowledge and documents: Work closely with research team colleagues on collecting and codifying the existing base of knowledge currently present in our team

You are going to learn how to communicate technical points across in a crisp, interesting manner via verbal or writing.

You are going to bring a smile to the face of kindle fans, the world as it is is already full with pains and tears, let’s make a difference by doing something good. Make kindle fans delight in this little gadget that allows them to access over 4.5 million books at their fingertips!

And you are also going to get paid for your passion, because it’s your job to read and share!

Working location

At Kindle Malaysia Fan’s office (Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam).

 

Qualifications

  1. Ability to communicate ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus.
  2. Desired Background:
    • Minimum after SPM/ GCE-O Level. A degree is a plus, but not mandatory
    • An interest in the Book industry
    • Work experience in a customer service-related position or experience in CPG/retail companies is a plus, but is not mandatory
  3. Form 5 school leavers are encouraged to apply, as long as you are proactive and you love to read

Remunerations:

(Part-Time) from 10am-10pm:

  2. Read for Free 1 Million Kindle eBooks from Amazon Kindle Unlimited until Aug 31, 2017. (Value: RM610)
  3. Two (2) x Free Uniqlo Kindle Malaysia T-Shirts.(Value: RM160)
  4. Daily Subsistence Allowance of RM100 x 10 days = RM1,000
  5. Total Package is RM2,607

(Full-Time) from 10am-6pm:

  2. Read for Free 1 Million Kindle eBooks from Amazon Kindle Unlimited until Aug 31, 2017. (Value: RM610)

  4. Free Weekly (1) Yoga, (2) Body combat & (3) Body conditioning exercise.
  5. Monthly Salary = RM2,400
