Warranty

We are pleased to provide you with a limited warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase in Malaysia. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. Coverage:

The warranty applies exclusively to all eReader Brands: Kindle / Viwoods / BOOX / Kobo.

Exclusions:

Please note that accessories such as styluses, protective cases, and stylus tips are not covered by this warranty. 

Warranty Period:

Your warranty is valid for 12 months, starting from the date of purchase. 

Conditions:

The warranty includes manufacturer defects or malfunctions that arise despite proper use, such as:

– The device is unable to power on.

– The device crashes, or restarts, and the issue cannot be resolved through a system update. 

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:

The warranty does not extend to damage caused by accidents, misuse, unauthorized repairs, or external factors, including:

– Damage from falls or impacts.

– Water damage to the motherboard.

– Unauthorized disassembly of the device.

– Battery damage caused by using non-official charging cables.

– Normal wear and tear of stylus tips or other consumable accessories.

– Issues that can be resolved through a system upgrade. 

Please note that cosmetic damage, such as scratches or dents, is not included in the warranty unless it is caused by a defect in materials or workmanship. 

Out-of-Warranty Service:

For products no longer covered under warranty, we are pleased to offer paid repair services or discounted replacement options, based on actual repair costs. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer service (admin@kindlemalaysia.com) team for more information. 

Shipping Costs for Warranty Claims:

You are kindly responsible for covering the shipping costs to send the product to our office in Malaysia. 

Repaired or replacement unit will be shipped from the original country of the device (eg. US / China) and back to your door step in Malaysia within 21 working days for free. In the event of second (2nd) or repeated Warranty claim, eReader Malaysia will charge RM350 for each 2nd or repeated Standard Warranty Claim to cover shipping fees from Malaysia to US / China and vice versa.

Return / Refund:

Goods purchased are not refundable/not returnable/not cancellable. 

Steps for Warranty Claim / Repair:

Here are the following steps one can follow in order to get a repair / warranty claim in the case of product damage, provided that your device is still under warranty:

  1. You may contact eReader Malaysia directly at Admin@KindleMalaysia.com or +6012465 2232.
  2. Please send your unit along with the original box & cable to eReader Malaysia Fan Office @ Shah Alam. Kindly remove any Micro SD Card or eBooks before sending your faulty unit back to eReader Malaysia.
  3. Upon warranty claim, repaired or replacement unit will be shipped back to your doorstep within 21 business days. Our team member will contact you again before sending your repaired unit back to you. 

For non-eReader Malaysia Fans you may contact Amazon directly for support for your Kindle as stipulated in Amazon’s warranty police. Should you need any assistance in the process, you’re welcome to join eReader Fan Club Library Membership & pay for the return trip shipping fees from US.
