Good articles are usually long. Of course, short articles won’t be able to do justice to a complex topic. But the problem is that reading long articles on your tablets or laptops really hurt your eyes. It’s no coincidence that the rise of internet shortens our attention span– no one can stare at a screen for that long. So, does that mean that we are destined to miss out on long, thoughtful articles on the Internet, such as the ones from The Atlantic, Wired Magazines, The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books?
The answer is No; you can still read Internet articles on your kindles or ebook readers.
If you have a Boox, or any other generic Android reader, you can install Pocket app to read whatever articles that you save.
If you have a kindle, you can use the Send to Kindle feature to send an article to your kindle for your leisure reading. Here we want to introduce two browser extensions that do this exact purpose.
Amazon Send to Kindle Google Chrome Extension
The extension can be found here.
Before you start, you have to configure the delivery setting, including the kindle you want the article to be sent to, among other things.
After you install the extension, all you have to do is to click on the “Send to Kindle” or press “ALT+K” to do the job!
FiveFilters.org
Another Google Chrome extension that we would like to recommend is FiveFilters Push to Kindle extension. It works pretty much the same way as the Amazon Send to Kindle extension.
Not only you can send to Amazon’s kindle, Push to Kindle extension also offers you more choices; you can send to other destinations as well.
Push to Kindle is coming up with 2.0 version. You can get a sneak peak of it by becoming one of the patrons. Sign up here!
