The Kindle warranty lasts for one year, starting from the day you purchase the item, as stipulated in Amazon’s warranty policy.
If you have any problems with the device within a year of your purchase, you can contact Amazon direct for problem troubleshooting. If that didn’t resolve the problem, the Amazon would replace the device as long as the warranty is still valid.
Here are the following steps one can follow in order to get a replacement in the case of product damage, provided that your device is still under warranty:
- You would have to contact Amazon direct for problem verification
- After the problem is verified, you would have to send the device back to Amazon for a replacement, or repair. Amazon would tell you which address to send to in the course of contact.
- In order to get a replacement, Amazon would ask you for a US address because Amazon doesn’t ship to Malaysia. So, you should contact us for a US address. This is so that Amazon can have the replaced device shipped to that US address and we can then ship it to you from that US address.
- Now you can send the device back to Amazon for repair.
- Wait for the Amazon to replace the device
- After Amazon finishes the replacement, the device would be sent to the US address, and then send to us, and we would send the device to you.
Note that you will be reimbursed for your shipping cost. Be sure to keep your poslaju receipt and present it to Amazon support so that Amazon could reimburse you for your shipping cost payment. The reimbursement will be applied to your Amazon account. However, the buyer needs to bear the cost of sending the device from US to here in Malaysia. This is because Amazon doesn’t cover the shipping cost from US to Malaysia. (Readers are advised to consult Amazon on this matter, if the Amazon didn’t reimbuse, Shipping free to send Kindle for Warranty and back to Malaysia will be borne by the customer. )
